Nevada Sunrise Gold Corp History

In the aftermath of the 1997-2000 collapse in the precious metal prices and consequent reduction of worldwide exploration budgets, many exceptional exploration properties in Nevada became available for little cost.  In August 2000, Bill Henderson, the current President and CEO of Nevada Sunrise Gold Corp. ("NSGC") recognized a rare opportunity and formed Nevada Sunrise LLC, a private company, to assemble a portfolio of high quality gold properties in Nevada.  NSGC was subsequently formed in April 2007 with a highly experienced management team to explore and develop highly-prospective mineral exploration properties held by Nevada Sunrise LLC. NSGC was listed for trading on the TSX Venture Exchange in September 2008 under the trading symbol "NEV".

NSGC currently holds interests in three Nevada gold exploration properties. Our flagship property is Golden Arrow, a volcanic-hosted advanced gold exploration property near Tonopah, in Nye County.  This is complemented by Kinsley Mountain, a former producing gold deposit in Elko County, located about 45 miles southeast of the Long Canyon gold deposit that was recently acquired by Newmont Mining Inc. In September 2010, NSGC announced the acquisition from Nevada Sunrise LLC of the rights to a mining lease on the Pinnacle property, which is situated in northern Nye County approximately 125 miles east of Reno, Nevada, within a mining district known for its historical gold production.
